Halloween

        A time my Halloween didn't go as planned is going to be this year because we are in Ohio for a game. The bus ride is about 14 hours away maybe more. Our game is on Halloween day which is pretty cool but its at 8 and we aren't leaving till sunday. Which means I will be spending my first college Halloween in a hotel. Kinda pissed about that because i wanted to party. Probably still going to do that in the hotel but we'll have to get up early and travel back to the UP on a bus ride for a long time. I would rather not be hungover on a bus. Also we are going to get home late on Sunday so I am going to be pretty tired for class on monday. I have a lot of homework to do over the weekend as well. So i feel like this Halloween weekend is going to be brutal and its not going to go as planned.

Gameday Wayne state

         We got to the campus and our teamed looked really focused and I couldn't wait for this game. It was perfect football weather. There was 23 family members there for me so i was really pumped. I got the ball kicked to me and i returned it 7 yards. Also got in on defense and I had 1 assisted tackle. We were wining the entire game and then in the 4th quarter they kicked a sky kick to our deep returner and he got wrecked so he fumbled. Then they scored. Then we had to punt, then they scored again.. Then we punted.. again.. Then they started driving the football on us. Then it was 3rd and 14 they threw the ball up to the receiver, our kid knocked the ball our as they were falling to the ground. The ref for some reason called it a catch.. Like the kid dropped it, it was on the news and the people were saying theres no possible way it was a catch. So they go on to score.. Then we had one last chance to get a field goal or a Touchdown and we didn't make anything happen so we lost, by 3. It was horrible. But after the game i spent about 45 mins with my family. Took a couple pictures, Talked about so things and that was it, said love and miss you guys then got back on the bus 8 hours back to northern. We got home around 12, then i went to my buddies and we were up drinking till 5:30 in the morning.

Friday when we arrived at the hotel

          I live 15 minutes away from Detroit where our game was at and i was excited to see my family. But, since the bus broke down, we got to the hotel way later than needed. Our coach told us we would be able to go visit our families for about 5 hours if we wanted to. We were supposed to get to the hotel at 4, do a walkthrough, eat, then have a team meeting. So by the time all that was done it would've been about 6. We had lights out at 10:30, so i could've went and seen my family and hung out at home for a little bit which would've been nice considering i wont be able to go home until thanksgiving which sucks but shit happens. I really just wanted to see my dogs and sit on comfortable furniture and my bed. And eat a actual good meal. But anyways we ate, did our meetings, and walkthrough then i went right to my rooms and went to bed by 11:30 because we had to wake up at 7.

Friday Wayne state bus ride

       This past friday we were on the road against Wayne State which is 8 hours away. We take 2 bus's, a offensive and defensive. The offensive bus is in front of the D. We were probably 10 mins away from the gas station we always stop at right before the bridge. The offensive bus starts smoking. Like the entire highway is full of this thick smoke. So we pulled to the side of the road and we waited about 20 mins and the driver just said we'll make it to the gas station to check it out better. Once we got there i went in and grabbed some snacks and went back on my bus. Our coach stands up and says "The bus is shot were going to have to wait for another one." So, we had to sit at this gas station for 4 hours. We went to big boys and got some food. Then we started playing baseball, with a shoe as the bat and tennis ball as our ball. Literally played 3 on 3 for like an hour and a half then the other bus finally showed up, when i got back on the bus i fell asleep basically for the remaining drive.

Dear Jack Zielger,

           The writing were doing is pretty fun. I don't mind it because we got to pick our own topic. At first i was confused on how we were actually supposed to write this. At first i thought we were just supposed to write the story from the character I chose POV but instead it is more of a argumentative paper. We have to write about how the story/movie would be better if the character we chose is the main character. But now i think i'm fine and i did it right. Hopefully i do good on this paper. On my first paper i got an A-. So i am hoping on a good paper.

Snow white Rose Red

I choose Rose, i feel like she would be a follower to her sister because she is younger. I think Rose would be less scared i guess about the homeless man. I wanna say she wants to help him more just because she is so young. Rose knows nothing about the man, or why he came there. I think if it was told from her perspective it would be more comical, a lot more childish as well. When her dad is all messed up in the story I think Rose would think the bearded man is crazy and the tone of the story would change. I feel she would be scared after that incident.

          Woke up at 11, which is late compared to what i've been doing the past week. I went to the MP and ate a little food before we had to be at the dome at 1. The team had a lift at 2, Went we got to that i was expecting a good lift since we just played a game yesterday , our strength and conditioning coach went easy on us. Im really sore still. After lift we had our meetings and all that good stuff, Then at 5 we had a practice which i didn't practice because i sprained my foot. But the practice was only an hour long and we got a lot of work. After the practice i drove over to subway then we had study tables at 7:15, which is where im at right now working on this. And the other assignment we have thats due tuesday. So today was a long day and i'm pretty tired.

Game

        We had our first home game on saturday. The team we were playing had 3 all americans on their offense. We knew it was gonna be a tough game right from the start. My dad, brother, and uncle came to the game so i was happy to see them make the eight hour drive. Long story short, our team played really good, we were winning the game at halftime 17-0. Then they came out in the second half and had a good start, ended up scoring 14. But thats where it stayed because we ended up shutting them down on defense. The final score was 31-14, and our whole team was very happy about that. After the game me and my brother went out for the night and partied a little bit. We haven't seen each other in awhile so it was good catching up with him.

Argument

            So we have a block party every year in the middle of July. It goes from 11-10 but it basically goes for three days. Three of my family members live on my street so its basically just a big party for three days. We started drinking at 10:30, probably not the smartest thing to do. But as the day went on it was all good till basically around 10 at night. Me and my brother always get into it but at this point we were both almost blackout. We started talking a bunch of shit to each other, then some f bombs were thrown in then some fist were thrown. So once it all cooled down, he went to bed and I just went to my uncles garage and started drinking till i realized my whole hand was gushing blood. I guess i ended up punching a wall. Very idiotic, i felt like what ever the argument was over was very pointless because when we woke up we were fine. Our parents were pretty pissed off at us though, but we thought it was kinda funny. My brother broke two of his knuckles because he punched his car door. Also someone left our front gate open, both of my dogs ran away. Which caused a little argument between the people that were in my house and garage so that night was all messed up. But woke up the next day and did it all over again. Me and my brother have been fine ever since because we realized nobody our age really likes us around where we live so we mine as well just get along. So, don't punch immovable objects, you wont win.

Sunday

But the practice was only an hour long and we got a lot of wprk in so i didnt mind. After the practice i drove over to subway then we had study tables at 7:15, which is where im at right now working on this. And the other assignment we have thats due tuesday. Game day

          I woke up at 7:45, then as a team we went to breakfast. After that we went to our hotel room and I packed all my stuff up then got on the bus. From there we went to Northwood's field. I got off the bus put my shit in the locker room, went out to the field to see how the grass was. Instantly I was sweating. The real feel at game time was 91 degrees.  So it was pathetic. Once i got all my stuff on i was ready to go, i was focused up and ready to beat them. Long story short, our defense played really good, and our offense played really bad. We lost 20-7, for those of you that know football, we only let up 20 points on 5 turnovers and 3 of them were inside the 30. I played pretty good, no tackles but i did my job. After the game my aunt, 2 of my uncles, my dad, my little cousin, and my brother were there. I got to talk to them for a little bit before i had to get back on the bus and on the road about 6 hours back to Marquette, the ride was very long and tiring. When i got back to the dorm i passed out quick.

Music in Society Pt 2.

        Absolutely awful day yesterday in this class. First, the weather, it was probably 90 degrees and we get in music in society class and our teacher wants to go outside on a listening walk....
Like what? We literally walked around outside and she wanted complete silence. " Just listen to the noises around you" oh and sweat because you wanna look at the sky and trees tripping out? Everyone in the class was confused because our teacher was being weird. There was a kid that had a vape pen who thought he was the shit because he had a vape pen, i wish he would've got caught so we could have just went inside. Then after outside she took us into the auditorium pitch black and she just lays down in the middle of the stage. I really wish i could drop this course, once again, i do not like it at all, oh and today we literally went to the auditorium and sat there listening to her talk about nothing honestly, we didn't take notes or anything. I hate it so much.

Saturday

            I woke up today at 7:30 then went to eat at the MP. At 9:20 i had practice for football. I was thinking it was gonna just be a easy walk through but it was like two hours long. It really pissed me off because we practiced in the dome and it gets very hot and humid in there. After that two hours was up our coach told to get something to eat and take a shower then be back on the field at one for a scrimmage. By the time i changed after practice and all that, i walked out of the locker room around 11:45. So I didn't have much time to eat and shower at all. So, i get back to the dome and im ready to go at one. The scrimmage took 2 hours as well, but it was fun and i did pretty well so nothing to complain about with that. After the scrimmage got done, i came back to my dorm, showered, and now i'm ready for the rest of the night ahead of me. If you know what i mean. This whole week i felt rushed in everything. I also got a parking ticket which is pathetic because now i'm $25 down. Now its saturday and I think after this first week of college it is much needed and I cannot wait. #Turnup #StayWild. Go cats.

Music in society

         I'm sitting here in music in society with Anthony, we are very very bored and we don't even understand whats going on. The music that we listen to is weird. Its very hot in this room. The teacher is using all kinds of random terms have no clue what they even mean. Now she's all of a sudden talking about doing homework. We have to go see a live performance, i seriously feel like i don't have time for that. She likes to talk with her hands, and she makes some weird noises. I sit towards the back because I don't really know what this class is about. I was put in it because of the freshman probation block. I'm not interested in this either, which sucks because i feel like I'm not gonna do good, or be focused in here. We watch videos of people playing instruments then she talks about how they do it and stuff like that. Its only a 50 minute class which I'm happy about because it goes by quick. I wish i wasn't in this class. I don't like it.

SR year-Now

         
         I'm from a tiny town about 8 hours away called Wyandotte, MI. The city I'm from is about 15 minutes south of Detroit and about 45 minutes north of Toledo. After my SR. year of high school i attended a prep school in Massachusetts for football. I graduated in 2014, took high school courses at the prep school and played football for one semester. It was basically a military school. Twelve hours away from home and 4 months with bed bugs, mice in our toilets sometimes, bears walking right in the back of our cabins, showers that were way to small, and the worst thing about it all is no cell phone service at all. Our coaches took our phones for the whole week until Sunday, which was game day. But, we only had 30 minutes to charge it, so, my phone was always dead. I didn't leave once in that 4 months, seen zero females, and only seen my family twice in that process. I did meet some cool dudes while i was there though which was cool. In all that madness, i was being recruited for football by a lot of schools, Northern Michigan being one of them. After finishing my courses and talking with some of the schools, i chose Northern Michigan. One reason, is because they gave me the most money, another reason is it was the closest school that was recruiting me, and finally because most of the games are close for my family to go to.
